Writing this book is sooo fun. I hope you all think it is as funny as I do! I will give you a little teaser.... " I’d like you to meet my most loyal friend, Fanny Bottom." For those of you who do not know, my real last name is Bottom. Yeah I know! I knew I had to use it in the book somehow and put it this way, Fanny is a huge character in this book!
Who do you think "Fanny Bottom" is in this book?
I know there are plenty of outspoken, humorous, opinionated women out there! Please email me your thoughts about this subject that ALL women agonize over. Our bodies, food, exercise, etc...

Okay, so I've thought of two things on this subject. First, you could address the "losing weight for a specific event" phenomena. Like a wedding, or a high school reunion, or whatever. It just is one of those things that we stress about but it's only one day! You know what I mean? Also, I've thought about how there are some people that I feel more self-conscious with than others. Sadly enough, I would have to say that the person I worry most about being critical of my weight is my mother. Sad, but true. Anyway, I don't know if I've explained myself very well but that's what I've been thinking about. Call me if you need any clarification. I think you have great ideas and the book seems hilarious!
Boy!!! I ahve no idea who Fanny Bottom would be. My guess is your conscience when you are trying to lose your weight...or perhaps your mother. Hmm...deep thoughts there!!!
My mother-in-law is always telling me how she just lost 10 pounds. But, then she qualifies it by saying it's "new fat." That fat is easy to lose. Then she has names for all her layers of fat--new fat, holiday fat, old fat, chiseled on fat, and fossilized fat. This is in relation to how hard it is to lose--new fat being the easiest. Anyway, Fanny is probably the fossilized fat!
LisaLou- You MIL has got it right! I love the way she puts it. Thanks for sharing!
