TOTALLY NOT bragging...but I woke up a HALF HOUR earlier today just because I WAS SO excited to get my day started! That is pretty common for me because I LOVE what I do! I have a group of people killing it in my "Ain't Nobody Got Time For Flab" group (like or comment if you are IN THAT GROUP)! AND today is day 1 of my "Lean & Clean P90 Test Group"! It is always exciting to start a new group and workout...so much enthusiasm and dedication!

Today's topic is "Workout Tip" #ffpPhoto My workout tip is to CROSS TRAIN.
I love to run BUT I love to run better, faster and stronger. When I ran my first half marathon I struggled because I just trained with running. Right now I am training for my first marathon and using P90X3 (agility, core, yoga. strength, cardio, Plyo) as my cross training and THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING! My runs FEEL BETTER, they are faster and I feel stronger all around. Plus I don't completely lose steam in my long runs because my endurance it so much better! PS...the BEST thing I ever did was leave my gym. I spent TEN years working out at the gyn FIVE days week...and I mean WORKING....where did it get me? NOT here that is for sure! #ditchthegym

One of the greatest things that Beachbody programs have taught me is how to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I call myself a "recovering quitter" because I just never spent time doing things I didn't want to do. I didn't see the purpose of it...this behavior was as recent as when I lived in China and just didn't see the purpose in hiking The Great Wall. Sometimes this attitude still perks up...but A LOT LESS than it used to!
So, how has Beachbody programs done this? Well, first there is a program for anyone, at any stage they are at. My first program was Les Mills Pump because I wanted to add strength training to my running. Immediately I felt muscle strength and saw definition that I couldn't achieve after years of doing my own thing at the gym. THAT feeling pushed me a little farther and soon I wanted to do P90X...who was this new person ? Before I knew it I had completed the entire 90 days of P90X, P90X3, Les Mills Combat...and TODAY I COMPLETED INSANITY! If you would have told me a year ago that I would do Insanity...I would've admitted you! That was the scariest, craziest sounding and looking program out there for me. But when I completed each program the reward, strength and empowerment I felt propelled me to move a little bit farther out of my comfort zone that I didn't even recognize how far I had come! So...what is next for THIS INSANITY GRADUATE? Well, I am now training for a FULL marathon and using P90X3 as my cross training. A full marathon is not something I EVER wanted to do...but after getting half way through my half marathon training I felt confident enough to step over that comfort line yet again! It has been ONE YEAR since my first Beachbody program and I cannot believe how far I have come in that time! I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE what the future has in store now that I am comfortable being uncomfortable! WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE IN ONE YEAR?

MY OWN SUMMIT MOMENTS
My "Summit Moment" was when Emma Lee Whaley stood on stage and spoke to 10,000 people about HER health story and how she has changed the course of HER life with it. I knew how amazing she was one on one, but at that moment, I KNEW THAT HER PLACE was in front of thousands and millions. Thank you, Emma, for changing the course of MY life. I am so proud to be a part of your life and team!
My "Most Inspirational Moment" was listening to Diana Nyad and her story about NEVER GIVING UP! This is just a small portion of the wonderfully amazing story that is her life!
My "Most Visionary Moment" was seeing Briggite Linford was awarded the Leadership Award. She has only been a coach for two years and has an amazing story!
My "Most Defining Moment" was when the Beachbody Challenge finalists were awarded their $25,000 checks and the winners their $100,000 checks. Each of them have inspiring stories of health and weight loss! Find their videos and watch!
My "Most Surreal Moment" was meeting members of my time, who I have grown so close to, for the first time in person. Each one of them have blessed my life and we so missed the rest of our team who was not there. This is all about people!
My "Most Adrenaline Pumping Moment" was doing the Combat workout live with the trainers! We were working so hard that they had to tell us tiles were falling off the first floor ceilings...we were on the THIRD floor! I love this workout!
OH! Working out live with 10,000 other people was pretty dang awesome too!
My "Biggest Regret" Moments were not running into or qualifying for celebrity trainer meet n' greets. I would love the chance to meet Tony and Shaun T. There is something so emotional about working out and they really are inspiring! This WILL BE different next year!

Even though I am working hard in my health and fitness I knew I needed to be pushed harder.
So this summer I am tackling my top three fears when it comes to my health and fitness.
Here is the plan.
Beachbody Ultimate Reset- 21 days to reclaim, release and restore. More than a cleanse or detox program. It is a reset on the inside. Supplements and strict eating plan, WITH ONLY WALKING, scares me. But I am ready! It came today and I am excited to see some drastic changes in my energy, clarity and fitness. May 1- May 22. Stay tuned for daily Reset Blog Posts.
Insanity- This is the only workout program that FREAKS ME OUT. I don't know why. I know people who've done it and they've survived. I have done a few isolated workouts from the program and it was tough, even during the warm up. My calves ached after each time. But it is time to face. this. fear! I will start on Monday, May 26th.
Run my second Half Marathon- This will have been my fourth half training, but only my second half marathon. Why? I hate running races/events. I love the training because it is only myself. My mind gets all messed up on race day. BUT it is something I have needed to do, to see the commitment through again. So I gathered some friends together to keep me accountable (you can join in too) and I have picked the race. It is on Labor Day in San Pedro! I will use Insanity as a cross training program with my training program.
With these three steps I will be in the best shape OF.MY.LIFE this summer! Each step relies on the previous. I set it up like that on purpose to help me see each phase through.

Let me tell you a little story...when I first became a Beachbody coach I told Emma that I didn't want to rank advance. I thought of the whole multi-level thing as "fishy" and somehow "bad". I just wanted to HELP PEOPLE GET HEALTHY and make a little money doing it!
Well, what I quickly learned is:
1. MORE than a little money can be made by HELPING PEOPLE GET HEALTHY and
2. Increasing your rank reflects HOW MANY people you are helping to get healthy and
3. You don't have to be sneakly salesy Sally to do it!
I learned that multi-level isn't bad, it is actually a great way to be organized about it!
With that being said, we ALL should have a goal of what rank we want to hit next and by when. The more people we help, the easier it is to meet this goal. And did you know that my rank advancement (or YOUR upline coach) rank depends on yours? We are all a TEAM! That doesn't mean I get to be your boss, it just means I make the money a little bit ahead of schedule than you WILL if you continue to grow!
I thought I was looking pretty darn good on that trip.
2013- we look SO MUCH younger!
Honestly, one of the greatest blessings is that we are healthy as a couple and as a family now! I can rest easy at night knowing that I am doing all I can for my family to live longer, to feel better and BE HAPPIER!
