~friend or foe?~

We normally do not intend to offend anyone, but sometimes it happens.

Has anyone ever said anything to you about how you looked that was just really rude? If so, share it...

Someone asked me recently when my 4th was due...

It isn't I replied. I'm not pregnant.

I realize I have a bit of a tummy (some days worse than others) but seriously, pregnant?

It just goes to show that no matter what your body type, you can still struggle with physical appearances!

Oh Jen what a great blog! Thanks for letting me know about it!

Before I joined Weight Watchers in 2004, I was at my heaviest ever. I was holding my son in a shop, who was about 9 months old at the time. He was a big tall heavy baby. I was trying to mail a package and sign something and hold him at the same time and I was struggling to hold him up. I jokingly said to him "gosh you're heavy" and the teenager behind the counter decided to comment, "Must be the genes".

Another time I was at a baby expo. My son was only a couple of months old but I went on my own to see what was around for him, without taking a pram when I knew there would be thousands of them. So I was there for the baby products. Someone handed me a brochure for pregnant women, it was some maternity thing, bras or something like that. :(

I've struggled with my weight all my life with many ups and downs (my weight). The most hurtful (and very honest) comment actually came from own 7 year old daughter about a month ago. We were watching the Biggest Loser on TV and she blurted out that I need to go on that show to loose weight. I just wanted to cry.

When I was young, probably ten, Kelsey nicknamed me Baby Beluga. Then when I was a freshman I commented to my Dad that I thought I was getting a six pack from working out for cheer everyday; my Dad then replied: "If you have a six pack I have a twelve pack..."
Even though both occassions were a few years ago, I still think about them. Comments hurt most when they come from your family. =/

I have no recollection of that Baby Beluga thing....

Just wanted to defend myself. I'll stop hijacking your blog now.
